Stretching muscles to release tension in the body; breath practices to calm the mind both both bringing deep connection to the body and breath and the present moment. Then I drop in and feel. The slate is wiped clean; I have pressed “control, alt, delete” and the veil of illusion is lifted – I can begin to see things more as they really are, rather than as my preconditioned patterns of thought and behaviour would like me to see them.
In addition, and as the most wonderful final blessing, following the guided meditative relaxation I am left peaceful and in a state of pure bliss.
This is the power of yoga and I am again sharing it with all of you, starting next week!!
