With all the uncertainty in the world at the moment, giving our minds  even more reason to chatter away uncontrollably, learning to meditate or deepening your meditation practice might be a great way to bring some peace and quiet of mind …..

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stop the chattering of the mind, to let go of the worries that seem to be ever present and to connect to an inner stillness and peace? To allow yourself to connect back to your original self, the self that was there before Life’s events came along and created the stresses and pain we all experience from time to time. Being peaceful is not about the depth or type of pain or stress that Life sends our way, but rather, how we manage to deal with it. Meditation helps us to accept and be with whatever arises and yet remain calm and grounded amongst the turmoil.

A sense of calm is available to us all – it is only a question of focus and practice and it can be yours each time you allow yourself to connect to your body and breath. However, to begin with we have to take the first step and make the decision to commit to change.

These classes are suitable for those who have not meditated before or who would like to understand a little more about the background to meditation and why/how it works. Also to learn how to practice and just how simple it is to find some peace of mind.  Meditation is not about flashing lights of inspiration or great powers only held by a blessed few …….

Meditation is for everyone – those who cant sit still; who cant ever stop their mind; who cant get on the floor; the non religious and non spiritual; those with “no time”; children and elderly; absolutely anyone at all…. if you can breathe, you can meditate.

This practice will not only boost your immune system by lowering the presence of cortisol, the stress hormone, in your body, but it will expand and strengthen your lungs with the breathwork; improve concentration; decrease blood pressure; improve sleep; increase feelings of happiness and it has even helped people reduce alcohol and smoking addictions …  it is wonderful for overall mental and physical health.

The two weekly sessions are:

Tuesday mornings 10.00am – 10.30am

Thursday evenings 7.30pm – 8.30pm

Once you have your invitation you will be able to use it each week for the foreseeable future

It will be necessary to download a free Zoom account (you can do this here https://zoom.us )which is quite easy to do and then click on the link in the invitation I will send you. I suggest you have your video and sound on when we meet up and then cancel both while we are practising.
